Golden Jubilee

Golden Jubilee
In 2014 the orchestra celebrated its Golden Jubilee

The highlights were:

A tour to Germany in July, when the orchestra performed three concerts in the Düsseldorf area to very appreciative audiences.

A Civic Reception from Renfrewshire Council, dinner & Ceilidh in November, when past and present members enjoyed a wonderful evening. Provost Anne Hall of Renfrewshire Council spoke about the achievements of the orchestra; people who had not seen each other for a long time met up and renewed friendships.

The Jubilee Concert in Paisley Town Hall, when the orchestra was joined by James Willshire for a performance of Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto, in a programme which included pieces with a special place in the history of the orchestra along with popular classics.
